All semitrailers are designed by the De Angelis Engineering Department.
Our team of experienced mechanical engineers use the most modern techniques of three-dimensional design. At the end of every project all frames are tested and optimized using structural analysis software (FEM/FEA) in order to ensure high torsional resistance and low tare.
The De Angelis main frame is a trademark of the Company. The lower platform is connected with the goose-neck through a torsion box. This type of construction compared with cheper types of consrtuctions grants the following additional advantages:
- Optimal allocation of the torsions between the gooseneck and the low boot floor
- Longer lower loading platform
- Improved driving experience: thanks to the structure, the entire convoy has a smoother behaviour
All structures are welded by a submerged arc robotic machine, a method that ensures maximum reliability and durability of the most stressed structural parts.
Before painting, each frame (finished and fully welded) is subjected to a metal shot through automatic machinery to 16 turbines to ensure the best preparation of the substrate and a perfect adhesion of paint applied.
